The staff at Quadrocopter wants to be sure that you are comfortable and confident flying your machine. We offer a training course with the purchase of ready to fly platforms that will teach you safe practices, controlled take-off and landing, evasive techniques, and things to look out for and general operation and maintenance.
RTF/AeroSIM (Package A)
Flight Training
While we are preparing, building, programming and testing your kopter you will receive the AeroSIM flight simulator and your RTF flight radio. During the build period you will be able to practice with the AeroSIM and become accostomed with the controls of your RC radio. Approximately 7-10 days before completion of the build we will contact you and ask that you return the radio. The RC radio is required for final calibration and test flight purposes. Once the kopter is complete and has passed all airworthiness tests you will receive a short video. At this time we will prepare the RTF kopter for shipment to your address.

RTF/AeroSIM/Pickup (Package B)
This package contains all of the same features as Package A with the addition of a half-day(4hr) training session at our facility.
When your machine is ready for you to pick up, you are invited to Quadrocopter headquarters in beautiful NW Montana to attend a four hour on-site training. Depending on scheduling constraints this usually is a one-on-one instructor/trainee arrangement. This training includes:
- Introduction to LiPo Batteries, charging, usage and storage
- Introduction to Radio – Switches, Charging, Usage
- Flight Simulator – Exercises, Tips, tricks, Manuevers, Assessment
- Introduction to Copter – What’s what, Maintenance, Care, Operation
- Practical Training with your kopter and the MKTool software program

Basic Flight Training (Package C)
This Package is for attendees that own and operate their own Mikrokopter (previous flight experienced is required). Training sessions will incorporate a “buddy box” trainer cord that connects the instructor’s radio to the student’s radio. This is a comprehensive ground up course that includes the following topics:
- Take off/Landing procedures
- Hovering techniques and basic tail in flight
- Basics of MKGPS navigation
- Mikrokopter Tool OSD/Xbee “real time” telemetry
- Basics of aerial photo/video capture
These training sessions can be booked as half-day or full day packages. Depending on scheduling constraints this usually is a one-on-one instructor/trainee arrangement however group training sessions can be arranged.

Advanced Flight Training/AP Tips and Tricks (Package D)
This Package is for attendees that have extensive background is the control and operation of their Mikrokopter. Topics included:
- Tail-out flight/Smooth panning techniques using the rudder stick
- First person video “FPV” equipment and techniques
- Camera gimbal settings/adjustments for improved video clarity
- Flying with payload and optimizing camera-to-kopter
- Understanding the MKTool…firmware updates/settings/PID
